CSG Consulting Engineers have the expertise to design the civil engineering aspects for residential, commercial and industrial developments.
Our services include the design of:
Our drainage designs can include surface water attenuation (i.e. limiting the flow of surface water from the sites and storing the excess water in underground tanks), foul water systems, the diversion of existing drainage pipes across the proposed building areas and where appropriate reed beds for foul water.
It is a requirement for new developments that if possible all surface water is discharged directly into the ground by means of soakaways. This is generally only possible in sandy ground and we can undertake infiltration testing in accordance with the BRE guidelines to design the soakaways or carry out the design to test results provided by others.
Design of the final ground levels is a critical part of the development process and we provide cost effective design solutions to meet the functionality of the site. For most new developments the land will have to be profiled to suit its proposed end use and there can be substantial cost implications to this process particularly on steeply sloping sites where taking excess ground from site or importing material can be extremely expensive. We will always consider the implications of cutting and filling the site to minimise the amounts of material brought on or taken off site and design the final levels of the ground accordingly.
We regularly undertake flood risk assessments as part of the planning process for developments.
CSG Consulting Engineers provide comprehensive civil engineering advice together with cost effective designs and can offer initial specialist advice at the feasibility stage to assist with the conception of a project.
